We conduct annual SMSF financial and compliance audits working directly with accounting firms. We are happy to discuss specific issues arising on individual funds, if necessary, we will seek advice from an external specialist Heffron.  We do not outsource any work. We aim for less than a 3 week turnaround time in most cases. Fees vary depending on the complexity of the fund, property search fees, errors identified & compliance issues. Typical fee examples would be $450+GST for a cash only fund & $560+GST for cash/shares.

We conduct audits and reviews for ACNC‑registered entities, Queensland Incorporated Associations and Companies Limited by Guarantee reporting to ASIC. We aim to provide a cost effective, efficient service, enabling client to meet their compliance obligations with minimal disruption to their ongoing operations.

We audit proprietary companies reporting under Australian Accounting Standards, including AFSL holders and unlisted public companies. Engagements are accepted within our defined scope of practice and are director-led, ensuring appropriate technical oversight throughout the engagement.

Engagements in this area are accepted selectively and performed in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements. Specialist compliance engagements undertaken include:

We can assist with the preparation of financial statements including those prepared as general purpose. This assistance can extend to our audit clients only if we can assess the process as being routine/mechanical and we are able to address the threat to our audit independence which will result.

We provide technical assistance to accounting practices requiring support with the application of Australian Accounting Standards in complex or judgement‑heavy areas. We can also offer advice in relation to the reporting and compliance requirements of specific entities. This support is typically provided on a behind‑the‑scenes basis and tailored to the needs of the referring accountant.
